Published Article: “An Update on the Status of Privacy and Data Protection in Mexico”

María Elena Pérez-Jaén and Cristos Velasco have co-authored an interesting article titled:
An Update on the Status of Privacy and Data Protection in Mexico. This article provides an update and a perspective of the legal status of privacy and data protection and the legal reforms and activities carried out in Mexico between 2008-2009.

This article is addressed to privacy experts, data protection authorities, government officials, representatives of international and regional organizations, industry, academia and civil society that will participate in the VII Meeting of the Iberoamerican Data Protection Network (VII Encuentro de la Red Iberoamericana de Protección de Datos RIPD) to be held in Casa de America on November 3, 2009, and in the 31st International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners to be held in Palacio de Congresos de Madrid on 4-6 November, 2009.
